2. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed)
• Workplace data: employer name, work location (optional)
• Ride data: pickup/destination locations, dates, times
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken in the app
• Communications: messages sent through in-app chat

3. How We Use Your Data

• To match you with drivers or passengers on similar routes
• To operate ride booking and communication features
• To maintain platform safety and prevent fraud
• To send you important service notifications
• To improve the Traami platform

4. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (platform safety, fraud prevention). Location data during rides is processed with your consent.

5. Data Sharing

We share your name and relevant details with drivers or passengers you are matched with. We do not sell your personal data. We use Google Maps APIs (subject to Google's privacy policy) for location and routing features.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Ride history is retained for 2 years. You can request deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you

• Delete your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.

We will notify you of significant changes to this policy by email or in-app notification.

11. Complaints

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have not handled your data correctly.
